Sage Abra Suite customers: Don’t panic over death of Visual FoxPro, migrate to Sage HRMS

On January 15, Microsoft ended extended support for its Visual FoxPro programming language, the underlying technology used by the Sage Abra Suite HR system.

“But there’s no need for Abra Suite users to panic,” said Joe Rotella, CMO, Delphia Consulting. “There’s no gun to your head. The reason not to panic is that Sage has not put out an end-of-life date for Abra Suite.” Sage will continue to release bug fixes and quarterly tax updates, but it’s not investing in any major enhancements to Abra Suite, he said.
